Which salts do you consume in your weekly diet? Are they beneficial to your overall health, or a burden?
In this short post, we consider how we can all retain optimum hydration from the water we drink when key minerals in specific salts push water into our cells.
Water is the most important nutrient in our body, but how can we boost our well-being cheaply and effectively with a few easy changes by observing if we are using the correct salts?
One way to enhance cellular hydration is by incorporating Celtic Salt into your diet.

This natural salt provides 82 of the 92 essential minerals found in the ocean in the coastal Brittany region of France. Unrefined and rich in trace minerals, it can assist in regulating blood pressure, blood sugars, electrolyte balance, energy, muscle cramps, and sleep quality due to containing:
a) Sodium: Vital for maintaining proper fluid balance and enabling nutrient transport across cell membranes.
b) Magnesium: Supports energy production, and muscle function, and plays a role in over 300 enzymatic reactions within the body.
c) Potassium: Essential for nerve function, muscle contraction, and maintaining healthy blood pressure levels.
d) Calcium: Necessary for strong bones and teeth, as well as muscle and nerve function.
e) Trace minerals: Celtic Salt is also abundant in trace minerals like iodine, zinc, copper, and iron, which are necessary for optimal cellular function.

Enhanced Hydration:
These key minerals help to balance electrolyte levels, allowing cells to retain water more effectively and improving overall hydration status.
Proper cell hydration supports numerous bodily functions, including digestion, nutrient absorption, toxin elimination, and even cognitive function.
Improved Digestion and Absorption:
Celtic Salt can aid in digestion by stimulating the production of digestive juices and enzymes. It helps maintain a healthy pH balance in the stomach, promoting optimal breakdown and absorption of nutrients. Additionally, the minerals in Celtic Salt support healthy gut microbiota, which play a crucial role in nutrient absorption and overall digestive health.
The alkalising benefits for your body's water pH are crucial, as we know that bad bacteria can thrive and grow within an acidic environment and cause illness, but cannot within an alkalised environment.
Balanced Blood Pressure:
Contrary to regular table salt, which may negatively impact blood pressure due to its lack of key minerals through being processed for mass consumption, Celtic Salt's balanced mineral profile, particularly its lower sodium content, can be beneficial for those with hypertension or high blood pressure. The inclusion of other minerals, such as potassium and magnesium, contributes to maintaining healthy blood pressure levels.
Just take a tiny pinch of Celtic Salt crystals with a small glass of filtered water a few times per day, which is by far the best way to hydrate your cells.
Changing my daily routine to include this cost-effective wonder mineral has benefitted my body and was inspired by Barbara O'Neill's lecture that you can watch and learn from here. As a result, my tissues and muscles are much happier!
All you need is a will to learn and change, plus a firm hand to move your old refined salts into your shed so you can use them to protect your plants from slugs - as every salt has a function.
